Show the world your no-nonsense attitude on Electra's Straight 8 3i. From its chopper frame, checkered rims, punk-red spokes and 8-ball insignia, this mean aluminum rig's got major attitude. Electra's Flat Foot Technology lets you sit back and enjoy the ride in a comfortable position, and plant your feet flat on the ground anytime you wish, and the high handlebars lend a dragster look and feel that will have heads turning. There's also a nice 3-speed drivetrain and coaster brake.
Electra's Flat Foot Technology allows the rider to place both feet on the ground for safety and stability while starting or stopping.

I have been able to attach a trail a bike style attachment for my 4 year old to tow behind me and a side dog walking attachment for our doberman for rides around the neighbourhood. The Straight 8 has served me very well so far and has great style. I did change the handle bars out for taller apes when I bought the bike.

Comments:
The riding position was an instant hit with me; fit me perfectly. Soft riding for long evening rides especially on our local bike trails. But the factory tires punctured way to easily; I replaced the tires with a different brand, thicker tires with a different tread pattern and I stopped having the puncture problem. The bike is heavy and cushy, designed for comfort which is what I want. I don't see how I can put a child seat on the back or front. I could likely add a child trailer but wish I could more easily add the child seat now that we have a toddler. Luv the bike because of its comfort.

Started with a Electra Townie 21... loved it so much I needed another Electra. Was looking at Rat Rod and Rally Sport... thought the Straight 8 might be a bit young for me. I'm 6' and 54 yrs young. Stumbled into an 8 and rode it. That was it! It's bigger and cooler than photo's can describe. Tires alone on this baby are worth the bike. Soooo smooth and sooo cool. It crosses all age groups, EVERYONE that sees or rides it, wants one. Best bike purchase ever.

Too Cool! 3 speed is perfect. Can cruise all day. I can go slow for the 7 year old or kick it up a notch and roll with the faster kids. First time out rode it for 3.5 hours and my back side was not sore at all. Really comfortable.

Electra makes awesome bikes! I fell in love with the Straight 8 the moment I saw it. I have gotten so many positive comments about the from people while I'm riding for fun or to the store. I currently have a Schwinn Hitchhiker attached to the back for my 5-year old. The 3-inch wide Fattie-O tires make the torn up streets and sidewalks of Memphis smooooothe like butter. The semi-recumbent position makes riding comfortable too! The hand grip shifter (3-speed) is easy to down- and up-shift with and does not grind. The gears are also housed in the rear hub, so no gears to get messed up. And the foot brake frees the hands. If you want a fun bike for riding around town or cruising to work in, this is the bike for you.

Comments:
For the casual rider that likes style. I have had my truck and car customized and this fits right into the garage with the rest of te troops. It is one smooth ride. Electra really hit a homerun in the styling, comfort and ease of ride for the neighborhood pace. This bike is plain fun and a treat to look at. You could almost say "Cruiser envy". I would highly recommend, even though I do not want to see everyone on my bike. Have fun!!!
